When Careprost eye drop is prescribed?
Careprost eye drop is indicated for-
  • Hypotrichosis (deficiency of eyelashes)
  • Open angle glaucoma (A group of eye conditions that can cause blindness)
  • Intra Ocular hypertension (increased eye pressure) 
How to use Careprost eye drop
Shake the bottle before using this eye drop. One drop of Careprost should be applied to the upper portion of eyes with the help of sterile eye liner or brush. This drop should be applied to the upper base of eyelashes but always prevent touching into lower eyelashes. After using this eye drop with eye liner, close your eyelid for 3-4 minutes. Don’t blink your eyes. Don’t touch the tip of eye liner or brush. 
What are the side effects of Careprost eye drop?
Common side effect while using Careprost eye drop-
  • Dryness of eyes
  • Burning sensation in the eye
  • Redness and irritation of the eyes
  • Visual changes
Severe side effects while using Careprost eye drop-
  • Conjunctivitis :- Inflammation or infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid.
  • Conjunctival edema :- Chemosis is the swelling (or edema) of the conjunctiva.
  • Pigmentation in Iris :- Pigmentation means coloring.


How Careprost eye drops can interact with other medicines?
Careprost eye drop should not used in combination with Xalatan, Latanoprost and other eye drop because they may cause a drug interaction of eye drop and alter the action of Careprost eye drop. 
When should Careprost eye drop not be used?
  • If you are hypersensitive to Bimatoprost and any other ingredient of Careprost.
  • It is contraindicated in pediatric patients.
  • In case of breast feeding
  • If you are wearing contact lens 
  • If you are pregnant and planning to become pregnant
Things and activities to avoid while using Careprost eye drop
Some safety measures should be taken before using Careprost eye drop;
  • Careprost eye drop should be applied to the upper base of eyelashes but always avoid touching into the lower base of eyelashes.
  • Never touch the tip of eye drop with your hands.
  • Properly wash your eyes before using Careprost eye drops because to prevent from microbial contamination. 
  • Avoid drinking of alcohol and alcoholic beverages, because it increases the feeling of giddiness and drowsiness.
  • If you are a contact lens user, use Careprost eye drop with some cautions.
How should Careprost eye drop be stored?

Careprost eye drop should be stored under below mentioned conditions;
  • It is necessary to store Careprost eye drop in a cool place having a temperature below     250 C.
  • Keep the eye drop in dry and hygienic place.
  • Eye drop should protect away from direct sunlight or heat.
  • It should protect from bacterial contamination.
What happen if I forget to take a dose of Careprost eye drop?
If you skip a dose of Careprost eye drop use it as soon as possible. Avoid use of 2 drops of Careprost eye drop at the same time. 

What to do in case of an overdose?
In case of overdosing of Careprost eye drop call to your doctor without delay get a medical treatment.
The signs and symptoms of Careprost eye drop are feeling of drowsiness and fainting.
